Unable to install Ultra TC Editor. Kept crashing.

Hi,

I tried to install Ultra TC editor but it kept crashing at the installation. If I install the program files only, it says missing MSCOMCTL.OCX. I extracted the MSCOMCTL.OCX from the CAB file and copy to c:\totalcmd and it still does not work.

I am using windows 8.

Any ideas?

are you using 32 or 64 bit windows?
copy MSCOMCTL.OCX in the folder where Ultra TC editor is.

on 32 bit windows open a terminal CD to where Ultra TC editor is and execute
regsvr32 MSCOMCTL.OCX

on 64 bit windows execute
%SystemRoot%\Syswow64\regsvr32 MSCOMCTL.OCX
