When defining colors by file type, predefined searches for duplicate files are hidden. And when defining a new search, search for duplicates is disabled. However this does not prevent that a color is defined for a predefined search for duplicates. When this happens an AV error is shown.
If you type ">savedsearchname" you can still assign a color for a search for duplicates. This can happen because the user makes a typo. The result is an AV error and TC becomes unworkable even after a restart.
An other possibility is that you overwrite or change a saved search for which you forgot it is used for a defined color by file type.

OK, I will ignore color filters when they contain a duplicate search.

This should be fixed in beta 13 now! TC will ignore the duplicate file options as older versions did (but not ignore the rest of the filter).
