TC and media players

On my LG-P990 with Android 2.3.4, when in TC I click on a media file, no matter which media player (TC internal or other) I chose, if I press on the Home button, the music stops. If I don't press the Home button, the music goes on, even when the screen goes off. IIRC, if I receive an SMS the music pauses, but if I get another notification, strange things happen (for example the player could skip to a track which isn't even part of the queue).

Is there any solution or should I forget about using TC to play music?

Are you streaming music from a plugin like LAN or Google Drive? In this case, Total Commander needs to be running while playing the stream, otherwise the connection will be lost. Currently this can only be guaranteed to work when the internal player is used. When using any other player, there is a danger that the Android system kicks TC out when running low on memory.
