Sort by date
In version 13 Beta, the TotalCommand does not work sorting by date format dd / mm / yyyy
Re: Sort by date
Hello, Lluis1952.
+ Server 2008 R2 SP1 (64-bit)
+ Total Commander 8.5.0ß13 64-bit
sorts files correctly on date-time, ascending and descending, which ever way you choose.
It also sorts folders correctly on date-time, provided you have activated the setting to sot folders like files (on date, too) in Total Commander.
So: cannot confirm your statement.
Could you please elaborate a bit more
+ how to reproduce the problem that you see
+ what T.C. does when told to sort by date-time
Perhaps you could post a screenshot illustrating the problem.
Kind regards,
Karl

forgive the confusion of my previous question. Sorry
Lluis Isidro
Hello, Lluis.
By default the date-time stamp that T.C. displays in the filepanel is the timestamp of the last modification, not the timestamp of the creation.
In order to make T.C. display creation timestamps, too, you will have to create a user-defined column create_time and assign it "[=tc.creationdate]".
Add the colum create_time and all other columns which you want to see in the filepanel to a user-defined view.
You can then use the new column named "create_time" and sort the filepanel on it.
Provided you have enabled the option that T.C. sorts folders like files (also on date) T.C. can now sort folders on create_time ascending or descending.
I have just tried it.
Total Commander 8.50ß13 32-bit
Windows 7 Starter 32-bit
Kind regards,
Karl
