= TC for Windows Phone 8 =

Hello,

Already is that Windows Phone is quite opaque and restrictive so it can have a good file manager. However, would be very interesting a TC for Windows Phone 8, although it was rather limited, but the quality of the products of have TC in all its forms would be the best among all that there is in Nokia/Microsoft (Windows Phone), that secure store. Not dares to make a TC for Windows Phone?... are becoming more users of this new operating system, and stalwarts of the TC on the PC... also in the smartphone with Windows Phone?.

Unfortunately there are no functions to access the file system on Windows Phone. Apps can only access their own data. That's why I moved from Windows Mobile to Android.

A celulares application there is "Pocket File Manager" that if enters a little on the operating system of WPhone. I think Microsoft has a little opened this topic and for the new version that will be shown will be less complicated access to the structure of your operating system...

From TC in the PC tc can access enough issues... EXCELLENT TC.

Interesting - so what can this "Pocket File Manager" see?

Pocket File Manager opens initially to a "Root" file list with two entries: "Local Storage" and "Phone's Storage". Tapping either one drills down to lists of folders and files.

It's a real file manager that addresses an urgent need in the Windows Phone arena.

  ...plus a few files intended for demonstration.

  -- Favorites
  -- Sample Pictures
  -- Saved Pictures
  -- plus every picture album created by the user

When entering the Camera Roll, for instance, each image file is listed. Touching a file opens it. Touch and hold on a file pops up a tool dialog with buttons for: copy, cut, delete, rename, "in phone", "store", send (via bluetooth), send (via email), "by http", and "share".

When a file is selected, the bottom menu (under the WP "...") includes: multi-select (with checkboxes), copy, cut, delete, and "operations" in the icons. FTP Server, Settings, Add Provider, Downloads, Help, About appear in the menu portion.

- "Add provider" takes you to a list of Cloud file services (OneDrive, etc). Signing in to one adds it to the root. Fantastic.

- "Operations" include "add to zip" and ID3Tag editor.

- When no file is selected the iconized tools include: multi-select, new folder, refresh, new (image, word, excel, txt), and paste;

- Touching the header of an open folder ("Phone's Storage" for instance) displays sorting options.

- New (image) takes you to the camera roll and the camera. If you snap a photo there, it goes into the current folder.

- Etc.

I haven't tested everything but so far PFM is stable, fast and very, very, very (did I say very?) useful for us Windows Phone users. Very much worth the $1.99.

it seems like in 8.1 Microsoft added access to file system , at least there is app called Files that can show files on the storage
