ListGetDetectString: error in plugin documentation

Post by *baronPlug »

the documentation for any ListGetDetectString plugin export says:

[5] The fifth byte in the file to be loaded

however the sample strings indicate that the number starts at 0:

([0]="P" & [1]="K" & [2]=3 & [3]=4) Checks for the ZIP header PK#3#4

since all the examples start with [0] I take it that it is the correct value. So the explanation for [5] should be changed for the SIXTH byte in the file, no?

Well, it depends on how you count. When you start with 0, the first byte could also be called the zeroth byte...

anyway it caught me out, and probably other people too
you can just clarify that the count begins with zero

baronPlug,

Just by the way, yes, actually. :D
In my country we do not have a Christmas "Eve".
