i discovered the Genre tag in id3v2 is ignored with the plugins wdx_id3 v1.2 on x64 plateform .
I also add my own genre in my mp3 files then i tried a search by genre operation.
And the window dialog search did not allow the search by free string entered, there is only a limited combo list of choices (i guess the id3v1 tag was limited to several genres).

i'm an old long user of TC since the windows 3.11 release !, for the history, i came to tc when i migrate from amiga commodore to PC where they are diskmanager and directory opus there.
Isn't it a plugin problem and not a TC bug at all? In its description I only see ID3 v1 support. So you should look here for a plugin supporting newer tag version.
