FTP with SSL

Post by *ghost »

Hi

We would use FTP ssl. But I read that it is not available and that it is possible to make it as plugin. So is there any one that has already made such a plugin? And how do you make a plugin.

Otherwise we must use WS-FTP and leave Total Commander. :(

Please use the search function in the forum with the keywords ftp ssl. Too much threads deal with this subject.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

Reading is difficult so read my question again:
Hm this sounds not very friendly...SanskritFritz answer cannot be wrong, because it's just a hint to the search function of this forum. Keep in mind: This not the plugin forum!
So is there any one that has already made such a plugin?
No, I don't think so.
And how do you make a plugin.
There is a documentation on the official TC website:
https://plugins.ghisler.com/fsplugins/fspluginhelp1.3.zip
And there is a sample filesystem plugin:
https://plugins.ghisler.com/fsplugins/sampleplugin.zip
You'll find some more on Club Total: http://clubtotal.free.fr/ and on http://www.totalcmd.net/

I thought about creating such a filesystem plugin supporting many server types.
Someday I found FileZilla on the net. It claims tio support many server types: http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla/
This program is open source. It could possibly be a good base for such a plugin.
Unfortunately I havent had time to evaluate FileZilla. It don't if it's really a good base for such a plugin. In consequence writing such a plugin is no option for me at the moment, because of a lack of time for me. Maybe you (or other members) have more time to start such a project.
Another way could be to contact the authors(s) and ask him/them if he/they want(s) to create a plugin for TC.

Thanks for your answer. I even do not have much time but I will try it. I first try to find out how the plugins works with the url’s you given.
