command-line plugin

wouldn't it be nice to have a decent command-line tool with tcmd?

I was thinking about a new tab, where you cas actually see what the program says back - and not only send "blind" commands. this would allow nifty things such as having an ssh session in a tab - or simply prevent having a dos window poping out.

but can anybody tell me where I can find some info on how to make such a plugin ? I guess an appropriate FS plugin would do a great job. I looked through the site, but didn't find anything about that
