Could you please give me step by step instructions to reproduce the error? Here is what I tried:
1. Configuration - Options - Colors
2. Change cursor color -> preview does not change
3. Uncheck "Use windows theme for cursor" -> preview changes
4. Click OK -> Cursor has changed color

OK, found it - it's a 64-bit problem, the 32-bit version works correctly.

The problem occurs if you have several View modes with different colors - If you click on the name for a new View then the colors are not updated, but remains the same as for the previous View. But you can actually make the color change to what it is set to if you hoover the mouse over the color fields.
I think we had kind of the same problem with the normal color setting dialog - way back.2Lefteous
