Filelist doesn't show a border in all cases

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Filelist doesn't show a border in all cases

Post by *Lefteous »

1. Remove all elements on Layout page.
2. File lists no longer have a border.
3. Show 'current path' or 'folder tabs' element
4. Border is displayed.

Expected: I guess the filelists should display a border or not show a border consistently.

You are right - the problem seems to occur when both tabs and command line are disabled. I will fix it.

It's not just that. I tried starting TC with clean ini (both tabs and command line are enabled by default) and there's no border:

In fact, I can't get filelist border no matter what I enable or disable in layout settings.

I too miss the border around the filelist - I also use the classic Windows theme (Windows 7), it doesn't look right so if a border could be added that would improve it, doesn't have to be 3d I think.

I would very much like to have 3D border (= nothing special, just standard one, as all other system controls have) with Classic theme, please. :)

3d would be my preference too but I'll take any border over no border :-)

In beta 2 when themed menu&buttonbar is turned off and all other elements are hidden, there is no top border for the filelists.

When only active path is displayed there are some errors in the top area between the panels.
- Inactive panel misses its right border where the active path is displayed.
- On both sides there is a one pixel gap between active path and file list.

Sorry, but why has this been moved to 'won't be changed'. How can this not be a bug? I mean - just look at the screenshot.
