Description.ion: the description is truncated

Give 1 a descript.ion of 300 ones
Give 2 a description of "2", 3 of "3", 4 of "4"
now delete the description of file 3
result: the descriptions of 2 and 3 are gone and the description of 1 is truncated to 158 chars

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce it. Can you give me more details, please?
1. How does your descript.ion file look like after this step: "Give 2 a description of "2", 3 of "3", 4 of "4" "?

2. Is it Unicode or plain text? It should be plain text because you didn't use any characters from other codepages.

3. How do you delete the description? Via Ctrl+Z?

Ah trying it again, I could not reproduce it the way I wrote it down, sorry.

I seem to have made the description unicode first by pasting in a text with Japanese characters and then changed it to some bogus test data of all ones

I add and delete the description via ctrl-Z.

so it looks like this in lister (option 6 unicode)

I cannot reproduce it. I think it's fixed.

I could reproduce the bug in beta 1 (thanks tio the sample file) and can confirm that there is no data loss any longer in beta 6.
