Automatic refresh does not apply coloring by file type

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Automatic refresh does not apply coloring by file type

Post by *za222 »

If a directory refreshes automatically, file type colors are not applied instantly.

A manual refresh is needed.

Example:

Coloring is defined for pre-defined search type:
Images: *.png; *.jpg; ... -> Color: RED

A file is being downloaded by the browser:

File list shows:
[black] image.png.part

After the download finishes, the file is renamed:
[black] image.png

But the font is still black.

After a manual Refresh:

[red] image.png

za222,
IIRC this has been by design since the beginning.

Yes, it's by design - loading colors by file type, especially with plugins, could be time consuming. Reacting to each directory change with reloading colors could make TC unusable.
