The folder and the archive icons look too similar

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Hi!

It's not exactly a bug, but I think they do. I often mistake archives for folders when they're the topmost files next to the folders.

I agree, I also don't like new archive icon..

Just add IconLib=%COMMANDER_EXE% to Configuration section of wincmd.ini to return TC 8.x icons.

Valid workaround, but It'd be nice if the default icons would be more distinct.
Plus I like the new hidden folder icon which is more distinct.

I see now that it's a windows system icon. Oh well, that's that then.

Yes, default icons in TC9 are Windows icons, so we can only make them more distinct using custom icon library (or use TC itself as icon library since it still contains old icons).
