[9.0b3] Auto Switch Mode - not switching back?

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[9.0b3] Auto Switch Mode - not switching back?

Post by *CADweazle »

As far as I understand this function, it's possible to change the view according to a predefined custom view, when the switch rule is fulfilled.

This works perfect when entering such a directory.
But when I leave it by going up or down in the father or a child directory (that of course doesn't fulfill the rule!) it should switch back to the default view, shouldn't it?

So here's my rule (uses the "Brief" colomn view):

[ViewModeSwitch]
Enabled=1
0_rules=%*.mp4
0_mode=1
[ViewModes]
0_name=<Vorgabe>
0_icon=
0_options=-1|-1|0||-1|-1|-1
1_name=Brief
1_icon=
1_options=0|-1|0||-1|4210752|-1

With this, the background color switches in the expected way, but not the "Columns view"!!

I've changed by hand "0_name=<Vorgabe>" to 0_name=<Default> ;-)
but that didn't help.

Did I miss something - or ist this a bug?[/b]

You have left the column view as "Unchanged" for the default view. This means that TC does not change the column view when entering normal view. Just set this to the mode you want, e.g. full view.
