There is a BUG with CTRL-PGDN, when in Configuration: 'Packer -> Treat archives as directories' option is disabled. In this case, when the program recognizes the file as archive (even as corrupt) - and the archive extension is associated with a program in the user profile - the archive will be opened with that program, instead of entering it (or displaying the message about corruption) by Total Commander. If the recognized archive has the .exe extension (e.g. is SFX), it will be executed, as pressing Enter on it. Eventually it's a security issue, because CTRL+PGDN can execute the file. Probably TC applies the disabled option 'Treat archives as directories' to CTRL-PGDN too, so it acts like double-click/Enter.
If the extension is unassociated, TC opens the archive normally. However, if the file content is not recognized as archive, it won't be opened/executed, just nothing happens.
Tested with TC version range 5.11-9.0, on Windows XP SP3 32 bit.

Yes, when "Treat archives as directories" option is disabled, launching takes precedence over opening even on Ctrl+PageDown. I will consider to change it.
