I'm using the version 9.0a. Even though all of the overlay icons for Microsoft OneDrive for Business are shown in Windows Explorer, there are no icons in Total Commander. "Show overlay icons" setting is activated. I've also tried to switch this option off and on with no luck.
Are there any other setting or these overlay icons are simply not supported?
I also do have a screenshot but forum system does not allow me to add link as this is my very first post
I can't say anything about OneDrive for Business because I don't use it. But in the normal OneDrive, Microsoft changed something in the upcoming fall creators update: There are no more overlay icons. Instead, there is a separate column with status icons. Total Commander cannot show this column. Maybe you have the same problem with OneDrive for business.
I understand that you cannot see/reproduce problem. But I think it's somehow different from classical OneDrive as I see classical overlay icons in Windows Explorer (like SVN overlays) for OneDrive for Business.
So as I see there is no suggestion to see the feature in TC right?
I get the classical overlay icons from the normal OneDrive, Dropbox etc., so it should also work with OneDrive for Business.
Please make sure that:
1. You have enabled overlay icons in Configuration - Options - Icons
2. You are using Total Commander 64-bit on 64-bit Windows (and TC 32-bit on 32-bit Windows). Otherwise the overlay icons _may_ not work.
I know that this is a quite old thread,
but the problem is still present (for OneDrive and OneDrive for business)
The file status is shown in a separate column in Windows Explorer (when OneDrive is operated in the mode to download files from the cloud on demand).
I have to use OneDrive in that mode, which is also the default, but I currently do not see a status in Total Commander.
Will it be possible to show this additional column with the file status in a future version?
Which Windows version do you use? Microsoft broke my solution in the Fall 2018 Windows 10 update. It works in older Windows versions. I'm currently working on a solution.
I have created a solution, but it is quite complex, so I didn't include it in the 9.22 security update. It will be in the next major update. I as just about to start the beta test when the bug in unacev2.dll was published. It set me back by at least a month.
Help - Ini File Settings part 1: Configuration A-M wrote:
IconOverlaysOneDrive=3
Enable/disable icon overlays for OneDrive files. Sum of:
1: Files which aren't available offline (cloud icon)
2: Marked for always being available offline (green circle with checkmark)
4: In addition to 2: Also in paths of OneDrive for Business
So for OneDrive for Business, add "IconOverlaysOneDrive=7" to the [Configuration] section in wincmd.ini.
