exact hd copy possible?

Post by *bunqueejump »

is it an exact copy if you copy *.* the whole C drive to an external hd? because I want to install a new hd in my laptop without installing Win xp prof coz some keys of my keyboard doesn't work, so I cannot put inn teh serial no.

I also have partitioned my "old" hd w/ a D drive which is ca 8 gb.

You will need a tool as Acronis True image.

Here you can download a 15 days trial version - it should be long enough to copy the whole HD to your new one. ;)
After you did you can check out if your xp as desired starts from the new HD.

Hope that helps
