TC 2.80 final rejects packing to SD or USB on Android 7.0 S7

TC 2.80 final rejects packing to the SD or to the USB on Android 7.0 on my rooted Samsung S7. When I try packing even a single small file, it presents an error window saying (in Spanish) "Error writing to new ZIP archive !"

However, it does work ok when packing to the internal storage.

I need it to backup big subdirs (also, preserving file dates in non-rooted mobiles). If I pass through the internal storage, I have to later copy to the USB, which takes long.

Maybe it's an assumed limitation, but I have found nothing about it in the help or searching this forum.

Is it a bug? a limitation ? Is there any possible solution ?
