Cloud plugin Dropbox Reading Directories is slow

I want to use the tool "Synchronize Directories" to compare the Dropbox folder with my local folder.
I have thousands of small folders to compare.
The step when TotalCmd is "Reading Directories" from Dropbox is very very slow.
Does it exist a way to speed up "reading directories" ?

No, cloud directories are read via individual https requests.

Does TotalCmd put the information about the directory in some cache for faster work?

It uses the Internet* functions in Windows API, which use the Internet Explorer cache internally. That's why it matters what you have configured in "Internet Settings" in the control panel.
