Can not instal - Waiting for program to close
I have downloaded the current version 6.03 but can not get it installed on my Win2k P ///550 machine with 512 MB ram. When I go through all of the menus and tell it to install I get "Waiting for program to close" and the installation fails. I am installing it in a drive other the c:.

Have you had a former TC installation and maybe used inireloc.exe? Or did you give the path to wincmd.ini with %Commander_path%? If yes you'll have to remove the enty in your registry, for if TC isn't startet this variable is emty and you crash the install routine.

Maybe you're running an AV-Program? The exe of Total Commander is packed by the UPX -Packer and some AV progs are not abele to unpack those files - and maybe they prevent the install.exe from unpacking the programfile.
So if you are running an AV-Prog, deactivate it for the time you install Total Commander. If that does the trick you probably need the unpacked program file.

Now I can ask then next time someone cannot install TC:
