Feature Requests - Plugins

Post by *pinterpeti »

Hi! It would be a nice thing if the program could automatically search for plugins at startup so the user don't have to insert the plugins manually into the list. This goes to the FS plugins, the Lister plugins and the Archivers too.
It would be also nice if the Lister plugins were not in a 'priority-list' but the user could select which plugin he wants to use. (I know that the programmers hate if the users compares their program to another programmers',and they ask for make a function like in .... another program from another coder but I have to say: the plugin management in FAR Manager is a good solution don't be shy to use that idea) Thanks!

Bye.

P.S.:Sorry for my English it's not my natural language.

Let's see how it will be implemented in the next version (planned for November) first.

TC will not automatically search for plugins, for security reasons. Users need to know that they add a plugin. This way they will also know what is causing it when something starts to go wrong (e.g. lister crashing because of a plugin). But plugin installation will be much easier in the next version.
