In horizontal (landscape) mode, on devices with small screen, TC Editor switches to keyboard white input control.
This keyboard's input control is (very) slow on loading (especially with large text files).
In email from last year, you confirmed that keyboard white input doesn't appear in fields with word suggestions disabled (like in "Server name..." field in Connection configuration dialog of FTP plugin,) because then suggestions don't take extra screen space.
So I'd like to remind my suggestion to add an option to turn on/off the word suggestions, better as TC Editor's menu item.

Re: Req: TC Editor: No word suggestions option (to avoid keyboard white input)
Unfortunately it's not TC which does this, it is Android itself. It does this when the space above the keyboard becomes small. I couldn't find any options in the edit control to prevent it.

You mean Android shows white input keyboard when there's not enough space for normal edit control? Yes, I talked about a way to add that space by not showing words suggestion, as it already happens in TC4A FTP Plugin input dialog, see screenshot.ghisler(Author) wrote: 2019-03-21, 09:04 UTCAndroid itself ... Well, on screenshot from above post word suggestions are present, but the difference is a line with Cancel and OK buttons. Maybe if you'll add it to TC Editor, it won't switch to white keyboard edit control in horizontal orientation too?

Re: Req: TC Editor: a way to avoid keyboard white input
I would prefer not to disable word suggestions. I use them all the time in the editor.

Re: Req: TC Editor: a way to avoid keyboard white input
Please also see my above remark about Cancel and OK buttons line (from my screenshot.) Anyway, I asked for turn on/off menu item or option in Editor's settings. For me it's better to have either words suggestions disabled, or to have additional line with Cancel|OK buttons than to have keyboard's white input control that on large files is loading dozens of seconds and, if won't crash during loading, is slow on text navigation.ghisler(Author) wrote: 2019-03-21, 11:28 UTC I would prefer not to disable word suggestions. Yes, I could show the buttons at the end (scrolled) instead of above the keyboard. But it would be less convenient...
