"Stuck" keyboard...

I've been having the strangest problem with Total Commander lately.
Every now and then it seems the Insert key on the keyboard is "stuck", i.e. it seems pressed all the time. When I use the up and down keys to move through files and directories, they are selected and there's nothing I can do about it. Also, the Escape key doesn't seem to work then. The only thing I can do is quit Total Commander (using the mouse) and restart it.
I have another computer hooked up to the same keyboard (using a 2-port KVM switch) and I have no problems there at all, so I can rule out any hardware problems with the keyboard as such. Also, Total Commander is the only application on the computer that exhibits these problems.

There are two things that are different with the computer that's showing the problem:
(1) It's running Windows XP Professional SP2, US version (as opposed to Windows 2000 Professional SP4, US version), and, perhaps more significantly,
(2) I enabled Asian language support on the computer that showing the problems. I enabled the standard US keyboard and Japanese keyboard, which means there's the little blue icon in the system tray to shows which keyboard layout is active. I use the US keyboard 99.9% of the time, so I haven't changed the keyboard layout in the past month (i.e., the little blue icon always shows 'EN').
Has anyone else experienced similar problems, and if so, how can they be resolved? (I'm not even sure if they are related to Total Commander per se.)

- Isn't the same effect - in fact the opposite-, but you could give a look here about Insert-key problems, and possible causes.
