Select a directory and press the space bar. TC will then quicly show the size of the contents of the dir in the place of <DIR>. With very complex directory structures (and/or slowly accessible drives), this process might take a while. I have directory structures where this action would take as much as a minute.
It's not even a bad thing if it takes a long time. The problem is, that TC hangs scanning such a directory.
I would like to see that TC does the scanning on the background (but no more than 1 scan at the same time of course) and then updates the listbox when it's done. Maybe show <Counting> in place of <DIR> to indicate it's still busy.
TC "hangs" when scanning a dir

In case it helps, you can abort the scanning using Esc.
In the next version of TC you will be able to use a plugin to count the directory sizes in the background.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
