Beta10 is being offered on software sites (Non-Warez sites)
Hi All,
Tell me is it legal to offer Beta versions on websites without the author giving his permission for it?
On the websites where i've seen them they are the official beta10 version.
Checksum matches the one that Christian gave.
Greetings Mike.

Please do not distribute the beta, because it isn't very stable and not meant for the general public yet.

Unfortunately it's too late. Internet is too small. Soon after it appeared at one of software news portal it was copied and announced at really MANY portals. I've seen it also at some of the biggest software magazines portals.
I've put comments that it's not offcial beta and that you were not going to publish it but the rest of comments were like this: "It works, It great, I use it and it has no bugs". So my comment meant nothing among the rest.
Anyway: It shows how people wait for every new version (even beta)

This beta has been floating on the internet since 15 December and nobody has been screaming about a serious operational flaw in it. Too bad the big sites picked it up and now are causing a lot of confusion and problems for Mr. Ghisler....
I'm waiting patiently for the "TC-Forum-Only" beta of rc1

If the betas were public, we wouldn't have such a problem. Making betas not public exposes the users to such problems. This is just my opinion, but many softwares propose public beta releases (and don't come with the blablabla, TC is too dangerous because it works with your data, etc.: to work with a brwser is, in some situations, much more dangerous).

I won't share this beta build with anyone.
Tested it myself though, and it works OK.
Like the extra features you implemented.
Nice to see the directory count feature is in it now!!
Keep up the good work man.
Trying to convince people to work with TCMD at work etc.
Takes a while to get them convinced, as some don't like the old button layout etc.
But once they use it, man they happy
Guess too many people judge a book by it's cover
