Select folders with regular expressions

Post by *petergus »

I can select files with regular expressions when I use NUM +.
But I really need a way to do that on folders too.

Something for TC 6.5 ?

You are right right. The only solution for now is:
- Press NUM +
- Press Define
- Put your reg expression
- Press Save (use any temporary name or if you want to re-use it - any other one)
- As it will come back to the selection window just choose the defined and saved selection.

That's a solution, but I think that NUM+ should be supporting
folders direct, without the use of Define.

The question is how, perhaps a setting that define how it's working

-Only Files
-Only Folder
-Files and Folder
-Only Files and with a special character/checkbox when I meen folder.

Regular expressions do not support the term "only directory", hence the limitation.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

If you set "Also select directories with NUM+" you can select folders with regular expression, without using searchfunction.

How can I have missed that one...
