[req] create separate archives (subdir function)

Post by *derekz »

Actualy if i select files and dir, tc make a zip for each file and for each directory (all dir in one zip).
I want to request an option to make a zip for each file inside the folders.
Example:

file1
file2
dirfiles <dir>
file3
file4

Actually

file1.zip
file2.zip
dirfiles.zip

Request

file1.zip
file2.zip
dirfiles <dir>
file3.zip
file4.zip

thanks

Maybe Ctrl-B before packing?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Well, I have two files in a dir and two files in its subdir:

test.jpg
test.txt
sub\test.doc
sub\test.xls

Now I am in the dir where test.jpg is. I press Ctrl-B, select all files, press Alt-F5, clear the target path, check Create separate archives (...) and press Enter. Then I have this:

test.jpg
test.jpg.zip
test.txt
test.txt.zip
sub\test.doc
sub\test.doc.zip
sub\test.xls
sub\test.xls.zip

Is this not what you want?

I don't think it's possible to automatically recreate the source directory structure in the target panel and place the ZIPs inside their respective dirs, sorry.

No, sorry=sorry for not realizing it was a feature request.
I am not someone to accept/reject feature requests, only the author can do that. ;)
