FOLDER TABS ON T.C.

Post by *RICKVIVENTI »

DEAR FRIENDS OF T.C.,
I HAVE NOTICE MANY REFERRENCES IN THE HELP FILE AND ENG.MNU FILE REGARDING "TABS". I KNOW THAT THERE ARE TABS AT THE TOP OF EACH PANEL, BUT THE INSTRUCTIONS SEEM TO REFER TO OTHER TYPES OF TABS. I HAVE TRIED TO CREATE NEW TABS USING THE "CM_" ITEMS IN THE LANGUAGE FILE, BUT NONE OF THEM DO ANYTHING.
I WOULD APPRECIATE A SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO ACCESS OR CREATE "TABS" , AND HOW TO USE THEM.
IF A COMMAND IS NEEDED, AN EXAMPLE WOULD BE HELPFUL.

THANKS

Please, DO NOT SHOUT. This is disgusting.
The CAPS LOCK is not there to be used "always on" so please edit your postings and write as every other human being.

It's not only ignorant to shout but it's annoying to read such texts because the eyes can't concentrate and are permanently distracted.

Some of my pupils (I work part of my time with disabled kids) always write using capitals. They need it because they are visually impaired. They claim they can more easily read this text. Some of them even use double spacing between the words. I find it very difficult to read their texts but ...

About your question:
Ctrl+T creates a new tab. You can now use Ctrl+Tab to switch between them. This is useful to navigate to a different directory while you still need the first directory, so you can quickly switch back to it.

THANK YOU FOR THE QUICK RESPONSE.
THE PERSON THAT SUGGESTED THAT I USE "CTRL T", PLEASE KNOW THAT WHEN I DO THAT, I GET THE "MULTI RENAME PANEL ( ALSO "CTRL M").
I HAVE TRIED " cm_" COMMANDS THAT COME WITH THE T.C. PROGRAM, BUT NONE OF THEM DO ANY THING. I AM AT A LOSS AS TO HOW TO USE "TABS" OR EVEN HOW TO FIND THEM.
ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Hi,

please check if "Show directory tabs" is checked in the layout page of the Configuration dialog.

To enable Folder tabs jus do the following :

Configuration->Options->Layout : Activate "Show Directory Tab"

Now Ctrl+T will opent the tabs display

Please try write "smaller", it's easier to read

BLESS YOU, THAT ITEM WAS NOT CHECKED OFF, AND NOW "TABS" WORK.

TAKE PRIDE IN BEING KIND AND HELPFUL.
