New Icon set for TC (update -> version 1.1)

Post by *StickyNomad »

Hi All,

UPDATE 2005/16/02: get Version 1.1 of my Collection here

I designed an icon scheme for our beloved Filemanager with Icons for almost 70 cm-commands
(including the new 6.5x commands for Custom colums, Thumbnail view & GoToFirstFile).
You can find my Icon scheme 'Vicons2' behind the following link:

Download Iconset (includes icons for Buttonbar, Drivebar and Filepanel)

All Icons in the ICLs come in 16x16 & 32x32 Pixels and 256 & 16 colors.

View Screenshots:
my TC window
Overview (256 color icons)
Overview (16 & 256 color icons)

I tried to make the icons quite self-explainig and easy to recognize, hope i succeeded at least partially :wink:
Suggestions and comments are always welcome!

EDIT:
To use the icons, the following steps are necessary:

open your WINCMD.INI (usually in TCs folder or the windows folder, 'help' -> 'about' shows where it is actually)

In the section [configuration] add/modify the following lines:

1. to get the Drive Icons, insert the following:
drivelib=[your path to the icons]\vicons_2_10_drivelib.dll

2. for the icons for the file panels, add:
IconLib=[your path to the icons]\vicons_2_10_fileicons.icl

3. for modifying the buttonbar icons, select 'configuration' -> 'buttonbar' and exchange the desired icons one by one in the accordinbg dialog

Very nice job, indeed! :)

I suggest that you include the pngs in the archive, they are quite useful as an overview.

Add the following line in the [configuration]-section in your wincmd.ini:

Code: Select all

IconLib=%COMMANDER_PATH%\[your path to icons]\vicons_2_10_fileicons.icl

Hm, I just downloaded it myself once again and it worked fine. I updated the zip-file recently, so that may have been your problem, please try it again and report if you still have problems.

In the zip file you'll find two ICL files:
'vicons2_10_buttonbar.icl' for the buttonbar icons and 'vicons_2_10_fileicons.icl' which contains the desired file icons, so with the INI-entry I provided you above it should work (if you entred the correct path where you copied the icons to)...
