New public beta version of lister standalone available

Post by *ghisler(Author) »

Hi!

Finally I have taken the time to create a new standalone version of lister with the latest features, plugin installation and regular expressions.

You can get it here:
https://plugins.ghisler.com/beta/lister32.zip

The /i= switch should now also work as it should. Please let me know in this thread if there are any problems.

I can't test this alongside TC right now, but I'm just wondering whether the standalone lister uses the plugins?

Dear author!
Сould you add an opportunity to use external Lister instead of built in in TotalCmd? I think, that having added this item of a choice it would be possible to raise stability to work with wlx plug-ins.

Sorry for my bad english :(

As long as you cant explain this much better I think thats
useless - why should I wanna use the external Lister wich is not as often updatet as the internal ?

You can already do this! In configuration - viewer/editor, choose the option "external viewer" for F3, and set the default to lister.exe. If Microsoft's quick view is installed, you will also need to set some file extensions explicitly to lister using the "associate" button on that page.

Question

Post by *zombiepower »

Hi, Mr. Ghisler
Can I use this stand-alone version for commercial-use? There is no mention about this.
I want to use this as a text-based report viewer.

Yes, Lister.exe is copyrighted freeware. You may use it for commercial or non-commercial purposes and even charge a small fee for selling media with it, or bundle it with your software, but you may not sell the program itself as your own work.

Good morning, Lesmo.

It may have slipped your attention:
someone revived this more than one year old thread.
At the beginning of 2005, the current standalone lister was in its beta phase.
Nevertheless, your observation is right:

The current standalone lister.exe is still:

Code: Select all

20.06.2005 21:54 454.656 lister.exe
Karl
MX Linux 21.3 64-bit xfce, Total Commander 11.50 64-bit
The people of Alderaan keep on bravely fighting back the clone warriors sent out by the unscrupulous Sith Lord Palpatine.

I'd like to ask something similar :

The ability to specify a viewer by default but also the alternative viewer. Actually, I can only specify just one, which isn't enought for my own needs.
