Absolute beginner

Post by *andrewcla »

Hi

I see that TC provides a list of files and directories. However I can't see 'Desktop' or 'My Documents' in the list. How do I display them?

Please speak slowly and loudly - newbie and senior citizen (deadly combination) here. Many thanks.

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !
- Open the "Commands" menu; there is an entry "Open Desktop Folder"…
- Then, you'll get the list of all Desktop-items in the active panel. ;)

 Kind regards,
Claude (no longer a teenager for ages…)

....or if you are more keyboard oriented just type \\ and press Enter. It will get you into Desktop folder as well

cd %$DESKTOP%
or
cm_OpenDesktop

First one is for viewing desktop as normal folder, the latter one is for showing it virtually including recycle bin, etc...

because you wrote you are absolute beginner, here is full procedure:
1. Menu: Configuration -> Button bar...
2. Press Append button
3. In Command field put what icfu suggested
4. Set the icon you like...if you want some Win icons, replace wcmicons.dll with shell32.dll and then you'll see a lot of familiar icons
5. you can move this new command in icon lice liek drag&drop
