Mr' Ghisler Please delete the 5.51 Hotfix message at the top

Post by *Peled »

Now that we have version 6.51 out, there is no need for the 5.51
message.
I just opened the forum, and saw that there is a hot fix 5.51a
I forgot that I am on 6.51 not 5.51 so gues what I executed it
and I downgaraded my Total to 5.51....

Don't worry I re updated it , and got back the 6.51.

But you can see haoe misleading it can be. :( :( :(

Some companies are still using 5.51, so the message is relevant to them.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

And just how long should the message be there?

It will stay there as long as Total Commander is still released as Windows 3.11 version, I'd say for the next 25 years.

Why some people would stay with 5.51? 6.xx is more powerful and with no update charge.

Some companies can only use programs approved by their IT security department, and this takes time. I'm still getting e-mails from time to time about the quick search bug, that's why the message is still there.
