RSS feed tests
Now the Total Commander forum also supports RSS readers - I have just added the RSS mod. It also supports RSS auto-detect, so if you use Firefox or similar browsers, you can add the Total Commander forum feed automatically. You can choose between a feed with all new messages, or only new threads.
Please let me know what you think about it, and whether I can improve it somehow.
Edit for new forum software: Please click on Smartfeed to configure all feed details!

I have already made a little change: The topic titles are change from e.g.
Total Commander (English) :: Subject
to just
Eng :: Subject
So the forum titles don't take the entire space e.g. in Sage RSS reader. What do you think?

I think the change should be easy to accept
I use Miranda for reading rss news. I use it for many servers and until now I had no problem with links in the news. But I can't use them for this forum news. I don't know why. I click the link and nothing happens. Moreover, if there is a link like eg. in your signature - it works correctly.

What links do you mean? Can you name an example message where it doesn't work?

Well, it's probably not your fault but it can be a bug in Miranda+rss+ieview plugins. I've checked all the rss services I subscribe and I've found that there is another one which also doesn't work correctly. Both services (I mean TC Forum and the another one) have in <link> fields adresses with a char: #. It's probably the problem. If I use history plugin in Miranda I can get this link working.
There is what I get from your RSS (last news):
The link in the second line doesn't work. it looks like a link but it doesn't work (for all messages)
BTW: There is a lot of free space beetwen the parts of the news (as you can see above)

@djk:
I think the way it is is perfect imhuo
ie efb (http://www.essential-freebies.de/board/rss.php) is doing it the same way...
(remember this is a board-rss NO news-rss
)
the worst way to do it is the heise-way
(http://www.heise.de/newsticker/heise.rdf)
as I'm using RSSFeadEater for RSS
(www.babisoft.com)
on the left i have a list with all my rss feeds
right head - the headlines
right foot - the content

What is actually the difference between RSS and Atom?
BTW: I suggest separate feeds per forum. Not everyone needs to read posts in say, the German and the Polls forums.
TIA

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
This is great
Thanks, this is really great! I hope it doesn't use a lot of bandwidth
