Hi All,
I have just had an occurrence where I am wanting to copy all data and directories below a windows mount point to another server with an identical mount point setup.
Copying the data is fine, but the permissions are not transferring (even though I am requesting to do so)
I have used Total Commander for nearly 20 years, and had great success.
This is the 1st time I have tried using it in this scenario.
I have had to revert to clunky RoboCopy.
Could this be investigated, as this is a real trap?

Re: Permissions not transferred when copying data from Windows Mount Points
That would be very difficult to analyze and correct. The problem is probably that the files don't actually have permissions, but just inherit them somehow from a parent folder. But I don't know why this would be different when using a mount point.
