Make use of a recycle bin for Total Commander for Android?

As I understand it, some other Android file managers make use of a recycle bin in order to recover deleted files. Is there any consideration in creating a recycle bin for Total Commander for Android?

There is no recycle bin on Android. These other file managers just move the files to their own private recycle bin folder. Files deleted by them can only be restored by them. I could develop something similar, but how useful would that be on a device with limited space?

Todays smartphones have plenty of space.
For me there are always a lot of Gigabytes free.
You could make a limit for your recycle of some percentage or an absolute amount of space.

It would be much simpler if TC created the recycle bin. Then I could go about as usual and simply use TC to delete a file rather than go through the extra steps that you suggest!

Yes, I know there is no recycle bin on Android, and that other file manager apps use their own recycle bin. That is why I am asking if Total Commander can do this so as to stay competitive. All it takes is one instance of losing a deleted file before you start thinking about switching to a more robust file manager.

I would not be asking for Total Commander to have a recycle bin if it were not useful. Many Android apps have their own recycle bins because Android does not provide one. Unfortunately, if you delete a file using Total Commander, then there is no way to recover it because TC does NOT have a recycle bin.

As for space, there is plenty of space on modern phones. TC could be configured so that the user can select the location of the recycle bin. Would it be possible to select to put it on the SD card?
