[TC 10.0]Windows 11, Can't drag and drop files to programs on the taskbar

After dragging and dropping files to the taskbar, the mouse displays a prohibition sign, and you cannot drag and drop files from TC to other programs at all.

That is normal behaviour of Windows 11.
Install a tool like StartAllBack and you have back this feature.
It works fine here and costs only a few euros.
Microsoft will bring back the old behaviour with the coming version 22H2.

If the program is already running, you can start dragging the file in Total Commander. Then press Alt+Tab during the drag to bring the other app to the foreground. Finally drop the file to the other program.

Thats a very uncomfortable way to work.
I prefer the Windows 10 and older behaviour.
The StartAllBack solved this and also allows me to run the Everything toolbar in the taskbar.

I prefer the old method too, but not everyone is allowed to modify their Windows 11, e.g. when using a PC in a company.

Ok, this poeple can just wait for the next major update as this will bring back the old behaviour

I'm guessing that the new version of windows 11 will have a switch to switch between the old and the new behavior, is it possible to set the TC to a mode where both can be adapted?

There is nothing to be adapted.
The next Windows version will just have the old behaviour.

Any ideas?

I did update to 22H2 once but had several serious problems with it.
So I deinstalled it and will wait for availability thru Windows update.
Anyway I will continue to use StartAllBack as I like the Everything Toolbar in the taskbar
which will not be possible with 22H2.

Works here. Do you run TC elevated?

Hmmm....indeed I was running TC elevated.
Atter running it normal, drag-drop on taskbar now works on Win11.
On win10 it seems to work both ways...
