Tree view problem with Surface Go

Post by *weijiangbei »

The "+" sign in the tree panel is extremely large and doesn't seem to show normally, as depicted by the attached screenshot.

Additionally, the folder icon on the left panel does not show normally either.

What option could I configure in order to make the "+" sign and/or folder icon show normally?

My computer's spec:
Microsoft Surface Go with Intel Pentium 4415, 4GB RAM
Windows Home Basic 64bit, OS Build 19043.1706
Display resolution: 1800x1200 (default to surface go)

Your screenshot shows that you are using a 10 year old version of Total Commander - has it occurred to you to install the newest version: https://www.ghisler.com/download.htm - maybe your problem is long time fixed.

Anyway - you can try changing the +'s to triangles by setting TreeTriangles=1 in the [Colors] section of your wincmd.ini - maybe the triangles are not distorted.

About the version he is using:

Pirate copies
On Tuesday, the group issued a new announcement, showing screenshots that will prove that the Belarusian railway company uses pirated software, including from Veeam and VMware, but also a version of Total Commander registered on EKTOS A / S, which is probably a Danish company . It is more than suggested that this pirated software has made it easier for hackers to get in.

I am grateful for your reply. I have used this version of TC for decades. So I prefer continuing to use it.

I am now using it on my other two "normal" laptops with 1920x1080 resolution , on which TC is shown normally. So I guess the problem might be the resolution, as Surface Go uses 1800x1200 resolution, which is not normal for laptops. So maybe I have to configure for this special resolution ?

You are not allowed to use a pirated version of Total Commander.

If you are not willing to pay for a license, please use the official unregistered version and simply click the correct number in the nag screen.

I will lock this topic. If you use Total Command in a valid way please create a new thread.
