SFTP plugin: Don't ask for master pass?

Hi!

I have been using for years the SFTP plugin and in general it works perfectly. Yet, there is something that has always been bugging me and now I would like to finally try to solve it.

I configure my connections with no password and with user certificates (PEM files). Every time that I connect, it asks me for "PEM:blahblah password" and if I click "Ok" leaving the password blank (the PEM file is not password protected) it connects. Perfect. But is there a way to avoid being requested for a blank password every time?

Note that "protect with master pass" is ticked. The problem is that if I untick it and save the properties of the connection, when I edit the properties back I find it ticked again!

Any idea of what I could do? It is not an existential problem, but it is a tad annoying....
