[TC 10.50] Not logical navigation through directories.
Hello.
I apologize for my English, forced to to use Google Translate.
I ran into a problem like this. I don't know if this is a bug or not.
For example, the E drive contains the TEST directory. The TEST directory contains the TEST1 directory.
I enter the TEST1 directory and copy a file into it, then return to the TEST directory by clicking the button to go to the parent directory - [..] . Or I press the go to the root of the disk button - [\] .
Then I move to any other drive, such as the F drive.
Then I press the E drive button and for some reason I end up in the TEST1 directory instead of the TEST directory.
Important: All actions I perform not with the keyboard, but with the mouse.
I find this behavior illogical. The jump should be to the TEST directory, not to TEST1.

Re: [TC 10.50] Not logical navigation through directories.
Hi and welcome.
You probably have the folder Test1 open in the other (in-active) panel (window) too?
That folder is used as start folder if you click the drive button in the active panel.
You may use Alt+ArrowDown (or the triangle-button on the right side of the path) to go to the wanted folder.
That?

Re: [TC 10.50] Not logical navigation through directories.
Bug confirmed. Seems to be introduced in TC version 9.51.
- Go to a folder in left panel
- Go to right panel, make sure another drive is shown in right panel
- While in right panel click the ".." or "\" button in the left panel
- Change drive for left panel and change drive back
Re: [TC 10.50] Not logical navigation through directories.
Not confirmed here.
I come back to the dir which was the one after the .. or \ on the left side.

Re: [TC 10.50] Not logical navigation through directories.
Thanks for the video. It seems to happen when you click on ".." while the OTHER (right) panel has the focus. Then the last directory isn't recorded.

Yes, that's right.
When I click button the [..] or [\] above the inactive panel, the directory is not recorded in the history.

Re: [TC 10.50] Not logical navigation through directories.
OK, then I will just focus the correct panel before trying to switch directories.

EDIT - Sorry I had a ViewModeSwitch active that prevented it - with ViewModeSwitch disabled, I can confirm that the problem still exists when pressing the [\] button.

Re: [TC 10.50] Not logical navigation through directories.
I found two similar problems:
1. When using a Ctrl+D directory hotlist entry with target directory saved, where the left and right locations were on different drives
2. cm_synchangedirs with left and right locations were on different drives
These should be fixed now too.
