[10.50 / 10.51 RC] Out of display "Compare by content"
You need 800x600 monitor.
Works even with empty wincmd.ini.
Just select any 2 files and use "Compare by content" menu item.

Now drag window anywhere. Divider changes it's position.
UPD:
1024x768 monitor has no problem.

Two questions:
1. Did you run your tests on a real hardware or in a virtual machine?
VM may have some glitches...
2. Are you going to check position and size of other TC windows on 800x600 monitor?
There may be similar problems with Lister and vertical taskbar. There may be also possibility to made some dialog windows larger, f.e. Configuration, F5 and F6 (width), etc.

1. Does not matter. First I saw that on real HW with Win10, later I also tested and took screenshot on XPx64 in VBox.
Position is the same. Divider moves the same way.
2. I have only 10.50 final and 10.51 RC3 now. Don't have enough time now to download oldies again.
Also I found that only TC x64 is affected, but 32-bit works fine.
You can easily reproduce that as long as you wish with empty and read-only wincmd.ini (or at least it should not contain CompareX CompareY CompareDX CompareDY).

Just test whatever you have, please.MaxX wrote: 2022-08-27, 17:34 UTC 2. I have only 10.50 final and 10.51 RC3 now. Don't have enough time now to download oldies again.
I suspect that you may find more bugs in new TC features (dark mode, media player etc.) when testing TCx64 in WinXP64.

It's just a minor problem which disappears after the first start of the compare tool. What happens is that the initial size of the tool is larger than the available screen area, so Windows reduces the width by itself to 800 pixels. But somehow TC doesn't get informed and doesn't update the separator position. When you then move the window, it notices the smaller width and adjusts the separator position accordingly. When you then close the dialog, the position and size are remembered, so it doesn't happen again.

I have readonly TC dir (net shared folder) and any launch looks like first, and it won't disappear in my use case.
May be, it would be better to use "default" sizes for this window just the same the main window has? That would be perfect enough.

I will restrict the size to the current screen when loading the dialog without saved coordinates.
