Hi,
it may be RAR's library fault, but I wanna ask anyway.
I have one, big, one-part only, RAR5.0 archive (~200k files, ~50GB packed, ~75GB unpacked, non-solid, 512MB dict).
RAR5 has two nice features:
- Quick Open Record - does not work with TCMD at all. WinRAR opens my gigantic archive in maybe two seconds, while TCMD hangs for many seconds.
- duplicate file detection - WinRAR extracts individual "referenced" files without problems, while TCMD refuses to unpack them.
BUT! Strange thing. I have three folders in the archive, all of them contain referenced file. When I select unpack three folders, I have error about referenced file can't be unpacked. But when I try to copy referenced files by hand (one by one), TCMD copies them...

TC relies on the function of the public unrar libraries.
You can configure your installed WinRAR in TCs Packer config.

Re: RAR5 features not supported
Total Commander uses unrar.dll from the RAR author to list files from RAR5 files. It does its own file parsing only for RAR4 files. Therefore it seems that unrar.dll doesn't support the Quick Open Record.
It's strange that you have troubles with referenced files, this works for me.
