Can't open files directly on remote location.

I am connecting to MyCloud NAS through FTP. Unfortunately it looks like I can't open any file directly (doesn't matter if it is PDF of Excel, it always opens in Notepad when I try to edit it). I can copy, change, write etc. If I open it after copying the file on my drive- it opens correctly. What may be the cause for that?

This is disabled because it could be risky with third party FTP servers (viruses, worms etc). You can define custom viewers for Alt+F3 in Configuration - Option - Edit/View.
