solved [TC 10.52rc1] flickering of the file panel cursor when inwoking separate tree

I see a remakable flickering of the file panel cursor when inwoking the Separate tree AND a Custom View with a colored background is active.

It does not occur in Dark mode. It is not new to TC 10.52rc1 - I also see it in TC 10.51

What exactly do you mean with "invoking"? Which actions exactly cause you a flickering?

I have a button with the command cm_SwitchSeparateTree - when I click that button and one or two trees are being shown I see flickering of the cursor in the active file panel. There is no flickering when the tree turnes off.

I have tried that, but I don't see any flickering here with a yellow background (set via view mode) when using cm_SwitchSeparateTree, neither in 32-bit nor 64-bit.

It seems to be very dependent on the speed of the computer, but even on my Pentium i7 I can see it

This is from a very slow PC with an AMD E2-1800 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.70 GHz processor and Windows 10 21H2

It looks like the cursor is re-positioned after an icon was loaded. Unfortunately I don' currently see a way to fix it because I can't reproduce it, sorry.

I also tried to make the video via software, but it slowed the computer so much down that it didn't give the right idea of how it looks. But what I could see when running the video capturing software was that the Tree window opened up blank and stood like that for a couple of seconds, and then the tree began to emerge, and it was then the flickering of the cursor in the file panel began.

I suggest to give you a try next progs:
oCam and ZD Soft Screen Recorder
with these tools I never yet saw any noticable lags...

Another problem with line cursor stabilization in tree view, I presume?

I found the reason! The tree and file list tried to push their background color onto the file list, so it always tried to switch between the two.

Confirmed fixed in TC 10.52rc2 The flickering is totally gone
