[TC10.52rc1] try to open protected folder in separate tree -> folder marked opened

• Start TC with normal user rights
• Enable one or two Separate Trees (Ctrl+Shift+F8)
• Using the separate tree open a folder that needs admin rights (for example c:\PerfLogs)

The folder is not opened, but in the separate tree the folder is marked as opened.

This is intentional. Why? Imagine that you are in drive c: and try to go down the tree. Now when you get to "System volume information", auto-open fails - the position would have to jump up to C: and you could never reach the directories below.

The report isn't about selection, it's about that the folder is marked as opened.

Suggested behavior: When double clicking on the folder in the separate tree, an access denied dialogue should appear just as it does if one double clicks on the folder in the regular pane.

Sorry, I will not do this. Regedit did this for a system folder and it was a major pain navigating with the keyboard then.

But you can create a big - self-made tooltip which can explain to user - what just now has happened.
Of course to open a new modal dialog for this purposes - a little overwhelming. But tooltips can save our live!

But how about the folder icon that shows the opened state - isn't it possible to wait changing that icon until TC recognizes that the folder had actually opened in the file panel.

If it can't be fixed I recommend the users to set IgnoreDirErrors=1 in the [Configuration] section of winc,d.ini.
