Horst.Epp,
We are talking about ShortcutsWin, so the shortcut is Win-Enter.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Thanks, I see
I make such shortcuts with QAP (uses Autohotkey).
So its no general problem to map Win+Enter

Confirmed with a quick test of TC 10.52rc4 on a Win7 machine (WIN+Enter works) and a Win10 machine (ignored).

BTW: Win+Enter can be quite helpful. In fact, shift/ctrl/alt are also very often used as modifiers for enter. Why not use Win as modifier...

I would suggest redefinition system hotkeys via TwinKey, but for some reason you don't like it.

Even regardless of Win key, there is a usefulness in it. Watch the second gif animation. It was achieved precisely by assigning a user command to Enter.

That, I suppose, emanates from here:
Fla$her wrote: 2022-10-07, 13:23 UTCIt's better to assign the system opening to Win+Enter. There are several ways.

And why is this combination reserved in Win 10 at all? In Win 11, too, she doesn't do anything, judging by the official list. There are only these:
Win+Ctrl+EnterTurn on Narrator.
Win+Alt+Enter (on taskbar item focus)Open taskbar settings.

Or is it actually a TC bug?

All of that reserved Win+keys can be reasssigned using Autohotkey for example
but some of it require registry entries to remove their Windows function.
I use a lot of such Win+key combinations in QAP to start TC favorites.

That's not the answer to the question. I know about AHK, TwinKey (see above), etc.
Through the registry, you will not be able to separately disable Win+Enter.

I don't have disabled Win+Enter by any means (only other keys)
but I can assign favorites in QAP using Win+Enter as hotkey.

I have disabled Windows' use of (most) Win-keys under Windows 10, so I can use them for my own shortcuts:

Code: Select all

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
"NoWinKeys"=dword:00000001
License #524 (1994)
Danish Total Commander Translator
TC 11.03 32+64bit on Win XP 32bit & Win 7, 8.1 & 10 (22H2) 64bit, 'Everything' 1.5.0.1371a
TC 3.50 on Android 6 & 13
Try: TC Extended Menus | TC Languagebar | TC Dark Help | PHSM-Calendar

There are several useful keys with [Win], which we often use outside of TC (Win [Start], Win+R, Win+B, Win+D/M, Win+L, Win+E, Win+P, Win+F1, Win+Left/Right, Win+Num+/Num- etc.), therefore, completely disabling is definitely not an option.

Now it's clear. I know these kinds of programs, but I definitely don't need menus everywhere. But within the framework of TC, I am more than satisfied with ShowPopupMenu from Autorun_Tweaks.
