Red sequence of chosen files remains red after choosing another file outside.

I click the first and the last of 6 files in my left window. I get them all 6 red.
Then I click another file outside those 6. Why are those 6 files still red?
I am using Windows 10. It doesn't happen in Windows 7.

Just a guess:
On W10 you are using "Configuration->Options..->Operation :Mouse selection mode: Use right mouse button (as in NC).."
On W7 you have used "Configuration->Options..->Operation :Mouse selection mode: Left mouse button (Windows standard)"
