How to change the start directory with Total Commander

I am wondering how to change the directory that Total Commander starts in.

F.ex. create an shortcut to the exe. (or use a dos batch)
See the help file for command line options.
Modify the shortcut accordingly.

The command line parameters is one way to achieve this goal. There's another way to do it:
  1. Disable Options > Operation > Save on exit > Directories
  2. Switch to the directories you want TC to open
  3. Select Configuration > Save settings
  4. Close TC
