solved [TC 10.52] Changing Refresh setting not recognized
In the Options dialog for Refresh, enabling or disabling the setting: "Also when size, date, or attribute change" does not take effect until AFTER TC has been restarted.

Re: [TC 10.52] Changing Refresh setting not recognized
This should be fixed in TC11 beta, please test it! Btw, the changed option was already applied when changing directories (without restarting TC).

Re: solved [TC 10.52] Changing Refresh setting not recognized
i don't know what exactly has been "fixed", but changing the option "Also when size, date, or attribute change" is not working at all.
so no changes since 10.52

Re: solved [TC 10.52] Changing Refresh setting not recognized
It does not work while a file is still open. This is a restriction of Windows. Therefore you don't see any changes during an active download, unless you open and close the file yourself, e.g. when you use Alt+Enter."Also when size, date, or attribute change" is not working at all.
It does work for example when you save an already existing file in a different program (e.g. Notepad) while not returning to Total Commander (which would also cause a refresh).

Re: solved [TC 10.52] Changing Refresh setting not recognized
Of course the refresh is working, but regardless of the switch to turn it On or Off.
And "while not returning to Total Commander" it will update, but without losing the selection, and after return, it will lose the selection.
So why the "Auto-refresh when activating the program in case of any changes (which is not specified)" and "Auto-refresh when the file system changes (but not describing that this is while not activating the program)" are separate options?
Both options has field "No refresh for these drives", but no separate refresh options.
Sorry, I forgot about "Don't react to updates while in the background". If this is switched on, and "while not returning to Total Commander", it will not update, and when return, it will don't care of these settings.
Probably fine (not).

Re: solved [TC 10.52] Changing Refresh setting not recognized
Maybe your editor saves the file under a temporary name, then deletes the old file and renames the new?Of course the refresh is working, but regardless of the switch to turn it On or Off.
Then it will cause a refresh even with this option disabled.
Here no refresh happens when I disable the option and then save a file in notepad.
