Seer as external viewer F3 and Esc behavior

Post by *tridy »

Hi.
I am using Seer as an external viewer and have set it to open by pressing F3.

As standalone application, Seer accepts Esc to close, however, it needs to be focused for it to happen, and it does not look like it gets the focus.

I would like it to get the behavior of Lister, when to view a selected file, I press F3 and then Esc to close the viewer. To do that with Seer as an external viewer, I have to press F3 to view the file, then focus the Seer window, and then press Esc to close it.

So, is there a way to make Seer close by pressing Esc?

thanks!

P.S. By the way, I can close Seer by pressing F3 again without focusing Seer, but Esc does not work.

This has nothing to do with TC. This behavior is exactly the same when using Windows Run. You should ask the author of Seer.

I see. I tried it with another viewer and it seems like Seer is indeed doing something different with the focus, compared to Lister. TC switches focus to Lister, while Seer sends the focus back to the application that uses it. I will try contacting the author of Seer.
Thanks!
